Look at these great prices for business broadband:
Advantages of Fixed Base Wireless
Cost. There is none! Local loop costs for a conventional telco T1 can typically make up $300 - $800 per month not including bandwidth charges from your ISP. Point to point wireless eliminates the telco entirely.
Scalable Seamless upgrades are available at any time. No new equipment is needed. Additional bandwidth can be added within 3 days typically. Start your service at 1.5 and move to 2.5 whenever you want more.
True backup. A wireless broadband connection can be a Real Backup solution because it offers a truly diverse connection. It's not subject to the same hard wired "last mile" disruptions that can take down your hard wired T1 and your DSL connections at the same time, like a power outage or the local loop provider going down because of a line break.
Symmetrical Bandwidth. What you see is what you get. That means when we say you get 1.5 Mbps that means getting it both sending AND receiving files. Many other kinds of dedicated access are asymmetrical, so while you may have fast downloads, the first time you actually try to send someone a file you will notice the transmission is markedly slower.
Real Bandwidth. At zNET we manage our load ratios carefully so that we aren't oversubscribed at any level of service, from dialup to T-3 customers. That means you get what you pay for. Your fixed base wireless connection has a 98% bandwidth guarantee. Compare that to no guarantee on your phone company DSL line or cable service.
Uptime is determined by your ISPs choices in: network redundancy (from mail servers all the way to Internet backbone connections); network monitoring; and internal network management issues (compatibility of hardware and software for example). Most of this is transparent to the customer, but you will notice the result with zNET: 99.9% uptime. The zNET Advantage is a remarkably well managed and well made network infrastructure.
Security. The security of zNET's fixed wireless connection is at least as good as that of a "wired" T-1 from the physical hardware involved, software and actual transmission, your connection is as secure as a hardwired T-1. As with any public Internet access, zNET always recommends that customers use firewalls too. For a white paper about our fixed wireless security, click here.
